Grasshopper

I saw this guy on the garage wall when I got out of my car. Even though it was bright sunlight on a bright wall and 1/4000s wasn't quite fast enough at f1.4, I quite like the results. Hand Held and Manual.
C&C welcome

Wow, I had to run out and get my sun glasses Gary. Maybe toning down the yellow would bring out the grasshopper a little better. Cool shot though. JIMBO

I like the way the hot yellow works with the green of the grasshopper. I also like the shadows cast by the critter, especially in the first one. Pretty neat!

I actually boosted the yellow Jimbo. I think I'm in a bright phase. (Also, see below)

Thanks Jeff, it was the shadows that attracted me to it in the first place, that's why I didn't want the grasshopper to be more pronounced.

The first shot is great. What a bright popping colour and background.

I like punchy images like that one.

Shoot Gary, the larger image is very different than the web size.... The textures in the popped yellow make the shot for me.... I did not 'get it' in the smaller version.

How does that + larger button thing work?

P.S did you get your steel and glass birthday present in the mail yet?

That's how it works in the gallery. I don't know how.

Yes the steel and glass arrived. I will post some shots once I get some time to familiarise myself with it. Unfortunately I'm finding it very hard to take the Nokton off my camera at the moment.
