Fatal Attraction...
Lens: DFA 100mm f2.8 macro Camera: K-3II Photo Location: Front Porch ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/60s Aperture: F16
Posted By: ToddK, 04-19-2020, 05:58 PM

well, not really(no animals were harmed in this photo shoot!) However, this damselfly seemed to be enthralled with my camera lens. He stayed put while I took a 24 shot focus stack. I ended up using only 14 of them and blended them in Photoshop. The resulting TIFF file was 2.6 GB. Anyway, it was a fun way to burn some time on my Sunday.

An amazing shot. Fantastic detail. This could be straight out of a horror movie.

That's quite an image... that long you should've been on first name terms.

Thanks PJ1! Yes, if I were a tiny bug, I would have nightmares about these guys eating me

Looks like it wants to give you a smooch! Great work! Definitely worth the time you spent stacking.
