Experimenting with crystal ball
Lens: FA 20-35 Camera: K-1 II Photo Location: Québec
Posted By: bdery, 04-20-2020, 10:24 AM

While planning for a (probably cancelled) California trip this summer, I decided to acquire a crystal ball and play with it a bit.

These two images are my first attempts. With confinement ongoing, it's harder to get to a place where there are beautiful landscapes, but still I'm not too displeased with the results

I had planned about visiting the American Southwest once again this summer, I think this pandemic just ruined my project. We may see something of an abatement of new cases and mobidity but I'm sure this will flare up again pretty soon. The Canada-US Border may reopen at the end of May but I won't dare cross the country on Interstate-40 with so much risk of meeting sick people along the way. The National Parks are all closed and inaccessible as of now and I doubt the National Park Service will reopen them this summer. Truck Stops may be the only places where you can eat, sleep and tidy up.

Regards

P.S. Your FA 20-35 mm lens is a jewel in itself, you should appreciate it more. I have one too and I find it awesome on APS-C sensors.

I have not used the 20-35 ever on APS-C, I think!

It can be a very good lens, I think I should just stop comparing it to the DA 21 Limited.
