Took a shot of one of these way back when (perhaps with my K50 before I even bought my KP). It turned up a few days ago, so thought it was time for another pic of it.

Nice shot of a skipper which is closer to a butterfly than a moth. They are the only butterflies that can hold their hindwings at a different angle than the forewings as you can see in your photo.

First I had bees and hover flies or drone flies confused (Yet another Bee! EDIT: No, Busted - it's a Hoverfly!! - PentaxForums.com) now it is butterflies and skippers and moths. It is all too much for an aging septuagenarian - but also fascinating.

Googling left me even more confused, with one or two sites seeming to imply that skippers are a subset of butterflies (well, there goes my "Moth", anyway). Whether this was deliberate, or a loosely worded mode of writing I couldn't tell.

Anyway, thanks, jbinpg - we continue to live and learn!!
