Thank you Tony. It was a very prolonged and gradual process of dementia (some 3 yrs or more from diagnosis to the end), so we had "lost" her, in one sense, some time before she actually passed away. Fortunately, I don't think there was much pain involved for her, until perhaps the very end. And I lived some 1500 kms away from her, so had to rely on her children for information on her progress (and they were very good with that, thankfully), except for when I could get down there.
