Blue and incandescent light
Lens: sigma 17-50 Camera: 5-3 Photo Location: San Clemente CA. ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F7.1

a long exposure provides a smooth base for the incandescent light coming from the pier.

Very pretty picture. I examined this carefully. In the middle of nowhere I could not hope to take a photo like this one.

I examined your exif data. It shows a 30-second exposure at 7:23 a.m. March 23. Sunrise is 6:48 a.m. on March 23 in San Clemente. So, that makes me curious what the lighting conditions were like, and whether the camera's clock was correct. This is an amazing photo and I am trying to figure it out. Was it taken in near dark conditions before sunrise and your clock was off?
