I finally tried my new DA 55-300 mm f/4-5.8 HD zoom lens on my Pentax K3 body. Tripod-mounted camera, f/11, pictures taken in a rapid sequence, so same lighting and climatic conditions. I started with a shot @ 55 mm, then @ 70 mm, @ 100 mm, @ 200 mm and finally @ 300 mm. Sharpness remains high at all focal lengths, which is phenomenal for a consumer-grade lens not particularly recognized for its performance in the longest ranges.
