Remembrance day
Posted By: fejker, 11-01-2008, 03:03 AM

A couple of shots from yesterday

Older part of our family (granny, old aunt and uncle and my mother).

The first six were shot from the back seat of a moving car. The bottom ones were shot in very bad light without flash (45W power saving bulb).

Remembrance day is when we remember our ancestors who passed away, but it is also a good excuse to visit the living.

Hope you like these ... I don't normally shoot these kinds of shots and am still learning.

PS: The 35mm on a crop is a tough lens to handle in a place where there's not much space. You can't get far enough to capture a wider scene and moving in too close to the subjects is annoying for other people.

Good mood in all of them. Just wish they were a bit bigger.

And that's a lovely Clio.

from your title I thought you were 10 days ahead of time but I take it that it was a rememberance for your family.

In Slovenia and some other countries we remember those who passed away. It's a bit different than poppy day.

Wonderful series, I love the feel of them as a whole.
It's a shame remembrance day isn't celebrated that way all over the world.

This is a wonderful series indeed ... the B&W treatment works extremely well here.
