This is the turtle warming spot at a local pond. Sometimes there are close to a dozen all lined up.

Lady Kerrowdown used to keep Red-eared Terrapins back in the day, which I believe are the same flavour as these.

Being cold blooded reptiles they needed to thaw out in the sun or under the heat lamps to get themselves going.

You’ll need a brace of ‘em... as the don’t go far on the plate.

Very well done, (pun intended). I like the settings for this image. I am sure the faster shutter speed was not used to avoid speed blur by the subjects.

) I like this one a lot.
