This is one of the biggest gripes I have with the FA*250-600mm, but at least the tripod foot is not as
flimsy as the current Nikkor AF-S 200-500mm f/5.6E VR. With my FA*250-600mm I use a gimbal head [Kirk King cobra] but the point of balance is
still too forward, and it puts the controls for focus and zooming at uncomfortable angles. Canon and Nikon put the controls for focus and zoom forwards while Pentax is the opposite, I have no idea why the did that. I do own a full wimberly Gimbal tripod head but due to the design of the FA*250-600mm, I cannot use it.
