Fall in Technicolor - Making dull pop
Posted By: wa5am, 11-01-2008, 11:59 AM

I've never used this effect before, and since the colors this fall have been rather dull, I thought I'd play a little with it. It gives a technicolor effect, sort of like National Geographic did with some of their stuff. Maybe a bit much IMHO, but still interesting.

PP in Gimp. K20D FA77 Limited.

So what did you do? I like the effect but you never explained what you did to get that effect.

Sorry. It is a plugin for Gimp called "Technicolor. Only thing is, it fiddles with the levels a bit much, so you have to do some fiddling with levels prior to using the effect to keep the tonality at bay. It was trial and error at first.

Very nice! I may have to go grab that plug-in and try it out.

Thanks Alan. It really did help this shot, as it was very dull and not a lot of brilliance to what color was there. Very overcast conditions too...
