So the girls and I went to the local farm for our fruits and veggies last week and I got them a watermelon... On the way home I joked that I was going to carve it for Halloween. They were dead set against it until I told them I would scrape out the inside with a ice cream scoop and they could eat it... By the time we were home they were screaming "when are you gonna carve the watermelon papa..."

I really did not think it would last the four days till halloween so I did not do any fancy carving.... they ate up the guts and on Halloween night I put a candle in it a put it out with the pumpkins...

But the red of the inside of the watermelon glowed in the candlelight... kinda cool looking... I guess I will be carving watermelons next year

Again do not grade on the carving or the photo... just the concept!
