i do.. as lens hood extentions!

*its amazing how many different varrieties of glass there are in these things, i tried to unscrew most of them, but the ones that recieved the treatment of a russian screwdriver ( a hammer) were the glue in ones...

Have you tried taking pictures with those smashed ones on the camera? Might make some cool effects.

I like the smiley face arrangement. I know you hate "protection" filters, but isn't this a step far?

I second Gary's suggestion, shoot through 'em.

It looks like somebody used them for target practice. Shooting through them (on the camera) would probably yield some interesting results.

Looks like it has been attached to a gun, instead of a lens; I think that he shot through them already

Nice idea to demolish them, and take a picture of that, too...

On the other hand, if I have a UV, i treat it like a lens. Careful not to make any scratches. So you won't find me posting a pic like yours...
