Drone Honeybee
Lens: SMC DA 10-17 FE Camera: K-50 Photo Location: Golden, BC ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/250s Aperture: F8

A drone that fell out the hive and was in the grass in front. The fisheye works quite well at this range, though a little cropping gives it a helping hand...

Many thanks Tony. It turned out better than I was hoping, though quite a shallow DoF...

A striking shot, Robert. I've had a 10-17 for years - never occurred to me use it the creative way you used for this photo. Good stuff!

I rarely use it, and was going to sell it. After this shot, I think I'll keep it

Well, it might magnify the pattern in the eye... but it also magnifies imperfections in photos...

Thanks! Give it a go with close up stuff, though working distance is not a concept, as it's non-existent!
