Bleeding Heart
Lens: DA*300 Camera: K-1 Photo Location: Prince George, BC ISO: 1100 Shutter Speed: 1/1500s Aperture: F5.6

EXIF shows aperture of f/4.0 but I used stopdown rings to make an aperture mask of f/5.6. This preserves maximum bokeh of the lens.

Thanks, guys. Stepdown rings are often used in astrophotography to prevent diffraction spikes that occur with many lenses as you stop down. Leaving the aperture wide open and using stepdown rings prevents these diffraction spikes but also reduces vignetting and fringing. So I borrowed this technique to see if it would work with earth-based photos. It seems to have succeeded.
