Wow, what a shot! Well done! Perhaps slightly front focused, but that's really being nit-picky. I'd be proud if I took this shot.

Thanks Apet-Sure. I hadn't used this body/lens combo for quite some time and yesterday I remembered why. Last time I had them together I decided I needed to check AF fine tune because it seemed off. But the colors on this guy's throat were so nice I posted it anyway knowing focus was not spot on. I appreciate your comment.

Wonderful capture, Dave. You are really hitting some amazing Home Runs with your bird images. Glad to see you using the K-1. Thanks very much for the treat.

Thanks Jer. Haven't been out and about much lately. Focusing on yard birds has the most interest for now.

Wow - this image has not been up long, but has attracted lots of comments. And deservedly so!!! Beautiful - beautiful bird, beautifully caught!

My old eyes cannot see any problem with the focus - for once, a bonus!

Excellent image Dave! I used to have a Rufous travel through my yard every April migrating back up to the north. It would stop and feed at my feeders for two or three days. The Rufous is the most aggressive hummingbird and it easily chases off all of the Anna's Hummingbirds. I have read that it will chase off blackbirds and other much larger birds as well.

They really are fun to have around. Rarely a dull moment around the hummingbird feeders.
