Fishing at sunrise
Lens: DFA 150-450 Camera: K-3II Photo Location: Lancaster

Working at sunrise, close to shore this Western Grebe seems quite casual .

Being ready for this opportunity was strictly a matter of dumb luck since this grebe was unexpected.

Very nicely done. Even sitting still, this animal is still moving in sync with the waves. Not an easy task to avoid motion blur, even at 1/1000s and high ISO it can be tricky. Excellent job.

Lovely image. Love the eye. These birds have an almost comical look about them.

Yes, I have seen it on video docs: they go through a series of mimicing each other's movements, then suddenly rise up out of the water in tandem and run across the water together! It is an amazing thing to see.
