When the feeder is in the shade i use the flash to fill in the light and accentuate the colors on my little friends.--charliezap

Nice, the colors are maybe a bit bright, have you ever taken shots using the catch-in focus? Good shots.

I have the camera pre focused on the tripod and hope for the best.--charliezap.

Fun shots, Capn! Connie plans to put up a hummingbird feeder in our backyard again (we had one years ago), so I'll probably take a crack at photographing the little devils.

They come to my place.
Our temperatures aren't all that different from Norway.
