I was trying my new 645 zoom purchase today. I ordered a "like-new" used FA 33-55 mm f/4.5 AL zoom from Osaka, Japan on eBay Saturday evening (June 13) and it was delivered to my home yesterday (June 18). The Sainte-Anne River is about 50 miles North of Quebec City and, a few years ago, the D.O.T. built a new concrete bridge permitting to capture this view. Tripod-mounted 645Z + FA 33-55 mm f/4.5 AL set at f/16 and 33 mm FL. I took the same picture at apertures varying from f/8 to f/32 and f/16 proved to be the optimum. I repeated the procedure at 33 mm, 44 mm and 55 mm FL and I can assure you this will be my "33 mm lens" from now on, as the lens is sharpest at its shortest setting. The lens is heavy and is difficult to handhold to capture the utmost scene details, so it's better to use a tripod at all times. Corner sharpness is excellent, contrast is remarquable and colors are lovely. This zoom completes my 645 FA zoom quartet (FA 33-55 mm, FA 45-85 mm, FA 80-160 mm and FA 150-300 mm).
