There be Monsters
Lens: DA*60-250mm Camera: K-3II Photo Location: Pisgah NF ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/6s Aperture: F8

Finally got outside for a bit and took a short (too short) trip in our RV. This photo was taken in the Pisgah National Forest near the Blueridge Parkway. The trunks of the Rhododendron's are always fascinating.

Wish I had your woodlands. We have too much Turkey Oak and scrub pine.

Beautiful. The high key like background gives it a soft, misty glow that make the curvy trunks really stand out. And I thought the Rhododendrons grew big here in Oregon.

This area of the Smoky Mtns. is known for their Rhodos. The trails are often covered with them in places. I love their twisty bits.

Lovely! I saw rain and mist when I went to the Blueridge Parkway many years ago. I love misty scenes like this. The rhododendrons remind me of the native rhododendrons in New Zealand.
