NEOWISE comet amid noctilucent clouds
Lens: F* 300 Camera: K-1 Mark II ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 2s Aperture: F2

Hi,

it has been a long time since we didn't have a bright comet in the northern hemisphere... and the noctilucent clouds (about 80km from the ground) add some depth to the scene

regards,

Dan

Very impressive. You inspired me to have a go this morning, but it turned out to be cloudy. And it will be cloudy for the next few days.

Ohhh, that's gorgeous! Well done!

[edit] Had not heard about this comet before your post. Did some research, and Scientific American would like to see your image:

'Have you managed to spot and photograph Comet NEOWISE? Send Scientific American your favorite images on Twitter @sciam with the hashtag #EyesOnNEOWISE.'

That is an amazing photo! Love the scene & the composition. I'm going to try & photograph it myself tonight. Any tips re camera settings? I'll be using my 200mm F2.8 so reckon that my shutter should be no more than 2.5 seconds.

Thanks,
Ducky

My shot was 300mm f/5 2sec at ISO400. Same exposure should be fine with your setup.
