Mighty Five Plus 2
Lens: DA 16-45 Camera: K3ii Photo Location: Green River Utah ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/500s Aperture: F11

We took (8) days to visit the Mighty Five National Parks in Utah. The Plus 2 are the two extra State Parks we saw. First set is from Goblin Valley State Park, Green River Utah. What a place! Temp was in the upper 40's-cloudy with slight breeze. This was midway between Capitol Reef and Moab.

Hi dmjjr,

Wow, it looks like a 'martian landscape', nice pictures but they make you want to drink, water obviously.

Interesting imagery... the river must be the only green thing for miles... if it is actually green.

Terrific images of the effects of water in such a dry place.

What an other-worldly landscape! I'm sure it had even more impact on the senses being there in person. Thanks for posting.

Did you ever visit MEXICAN HAT in southeastern Utah ? There is a realistic natural rock formation looking exactly like a mexican sombrero. It is not far from Monument Valley and the Arizona Stateline.

Regards

Really off the beaten path but worth the trip. Hundreds of these “Hoodoos”-very few people-would go back if I could/spent 4 hours there could have stayed a couple of days shooting
