Aye, but with them it's usually hanging over both sides of the plate...

Thank you... it has a touch Japanese feeling to it, being this minimalist.

I spent most of my life in the northeast US, and yes, if you want, you can get a big steak here. Or so I thought. Then I found myself at one point in Colorado for a visit. We stopped at a restaurant that had two salient characteristics:
- If you came in wearing a tie, they would come with a set of shears and cut it off you, and pin it to the wall. There were hundreds of tie-corpses on display.
- One could order a piece of beef large enough to be shared by mid-sized family. Might weigh enough to crack the plate, never mind hang off the sides.

And absolutely no split toning! An elegant image, I do hope you're printing that one.

I can't even imagine that sort of thing here... quite thankfully I might add.

I think I did initially... just to help with the luminosity masking.

Not sure yet... Lady Kerrowdown's none too impressed, so it won't be on the castle walls anywhere.

This is really nice, and unusual. I bet you could do a spectacular series of them, as in, I think more pictures like this would look even better when displayed together. It would be a way of showing more without undermining the style and intent.

Than you for your very kind comments.

Just between you and I, this is part of an ongoing personal project, but getting good grasses to pose for me isn't easy!
