Comet Neowise
Posted By: Belnan, 07-17-2020, 10:48 AM

Finally somewhat clear last night so I tried to get a capture of comet Neowise. I think I like this one, although I have seen some much better ones.

Nice picture, I managed to see it with Binoculars the last couple of nights, but it was too low in the sky to get a shot at it.

Yeah, besides that and the light pollution I have to put up with in Los Angeles.

It is supposed to be a little higher in the sky over the next couple of days. I may go get a couple more pics when I get a chance.

Nice capture!! I looked for it the past two nights but I think it has been too low on the horizon for me to find it from my location in the Southern U.S.

Me too, having rotten luck in southern Texas. Trying again, though we have cloud cover coming in pretty heavy this weekend. We'll see.

Very nice, a few forum members have some posted on Flickr, Mike Oria, Matt Burt, and W412ren (Wargus) have some excellent images posted.

Finally managed to get a shot at it tonight. Lots of light pollution. The milky way, looking south over my roof was clearer. If it's clear tomorrow, I might drive into the mountains away from the lights and power lines.

Nice work.

I used Deepskystacker to stack 5 images each with 4 seconds exposure. I think having the GPS unit would help.
