A blue-banded bee in my yard in Hong Kong today. I saw my first one last week and then today there were half a dozen or so flying around the yard. They don't stay still for long so I was really happy to get this shot.

What is it about bee macros that we keep taking more and more of them, but we still never tire at viewing the good ones?

This is certainly a good one, with nice sharp detail, even if the rude fellow has his back to us. But the blue bands are a novelty, at least for me.
