Tete a Tete On The Fence
Lens: Pentax HD DA 55-300mm f/4.5-6.3 ED PLM WR RE Lens Camera: Pentax KP Photo Location: My Back Yard ISO: 160 Shutter Speed: 1/200s Aperture: F11

There is a small extended family of these Superb Blue Wrens continually teasing me with their calls around my home, but rarely staying still enough to let me get a decent shot (although they have occasionally obliged). But I was quite taken by the sight of this pair of females sitting atop the fence post. A short time later the male appeared, and I could count at least 4 females. (Some guys just have it, I suppose).

Pity about the background, but you can't have everything!!

A nice, expressive shot. We have them here. One of the females is forever attacking her reflection in the windows.

Thank you, PJ1 - I liked their combined stances, and was lucky enough to capture it before they moved. Yes, I once saw one of these making a fuss on the side mirror of my son's car!!!

Thank you -funny you should mention the "hippity hop away". The male turned up, and he and one of the females started hopping around on my lawn. I got shots of two blurs, and a perfect shot of empty lawn!!!!
