This a very cool shot - I really like the composition and the partial view of the flower with emphasis on the stamen (I think that's the term). Colors are nicely done, as well.

Thank you Jer, much appreciated. This is a close crop from a 14MP original. I try to keep my posted images at 1200x800 pix so that the website doesn't compress them and degrade the IQ. It's always a challenge to decide what to keep and what to crop. I could've selected a larger portion of the frame and downsized it to 1200x800 with the imaging software, but I think you lose some IQ doing that. At least with the software I use. In Bryan Peterson's book 'Understanding Composition', he says that it's OK to move in close and cut off the top of people's head to get close intimate portraits. I guess this 'portrait' falls into that category.

I put a 1920x1080 crop version on our computer desktop which my wife likes.
