Hot Sun and Shiny chrome
Lens: D FA 15-30 Camera: K-1 Photo Location: Brazosport College
Posted By: Sailor, 08-11-2020, 04:03 PM

This afternoon, I continued to explore my new D FA 15-30 on the campus of our local community college - a place where I've tried out many a new lens over the years. Since this is August in southeast Texas, the place was literally baking, but I lasted long enough to get a number of photos (while dreaming of a cold - very cold - beer). Here are three of them.

Hey, buddy, thanks much!

And, yeah, I did realize that dream.

All of what Norbert said Jer but now I have to find a place to try my Sigma 10-20 that I bought last winter and never used.

I'd like to flatter myself by saying they constructed these arches to provide subjects which can be photographed by people exploring new lenses and to give car guys cool backdrops for photographing their cars.

Thanks Heinrich . . . . . . . . and I know just what you mean. I mentioned on an earlier thread that I have a history of buying wide angle lenses that seldom get used.

You got it! I guess the people on the board of trustees for the college like chrome.

Anyway, I'm glad these big chrome arches are there - they've given me lots of photographic opportunities over the years in a location that's only about a 10 minute drive from my house.

Thanks very much, Janse!

The lens seems to be a wonderful performer - just wish it weren't so big and heavy!
