Magnificent Maples
Posted By: sajmmiller, 11-05-2008, 11:00 AM

While fall color in NW Arkansas has not been widespread this year, some of the maple trees have been quite showy. All taken with the DA 18-55.

C&C always appreciated.

Lovely series Scott. The sky peeking through the leaves on the last shot almost looks like berries on the tree.

They certainly do look magnifcent. Nice work, you managed to avoid most of the harsh shadows.

Thank you Susan. That was my first thought too, regarding the sky peeking through. I thought the blue spots added to the photo, and I was hoping that others would agree.

Thank you Jimbo! I just wish Fall would last longer...it's my favorite season, at least in Arkansas.

Thank you JMR. Working around people and shadows was a challenge, but the late afternoon light was great.

I appreciate your comment. I was going for somewhat of a 3D effect in that shot.
