For months this thing claimed 187 F was our constant ambient temp and then decided that it was 32 F every day for weeks. Now, the thing now shows numbers that reflect what appears to be the actual temperature.

It was, indeed, very hot that day but not 187F. There was, I'm afraid, a bit of distortion in mind of the photographer.
