The weird and the wonderful
Lens: 100 2.8 Camera: K-S2 Photo Location: Canada ISO: 200

This is a tiny critter, about 5 mm in total length.




This one is even smaller but I could not identify either one.


Unidentified tiny hover fly

Very nice very nice indeed can't talk about technical aspects but beautiful pics. Neat how many different bugs there are out there.

Wow! Very nice captures Heinrich! The proboscis on your first subject is impressive! Obviously needs it for eating but still a pretty good proportion of its body length.

Okay these fine photos are the result of a homemade flash "snoot" and mystery . Thank you for posting .

That second one appears to be some variety of a "spear winged fly" those huge eyes !!

At only 5mm in length did very well to keep it on screen
As summer fades slowly only to wait for you next season
Although Autumn /Fall is a explosion of colour
