Another species I have not had much luck photographing. They have appeared around my home often, but usually disappear into the dense foliage high up in a very tall pine tree. I have posted one previous shot of one of them playing peek-a-boo with me (Playing Peek-a-boo! - PentaxForums.com) but caught this one slightly closer, but still not completely clear of intervening foliage

Nice pose but as you say they are usually hard to get in the open. Hard to get focus right when there are intervening twigs too.

Another amazing image. I wonder if you would be happier with results attained by setting up a blind. These creatures are highly intelligent so they know better than to hold a pose for more than

just a few seconds. A blind may be just what the doctor ordered in getting results that you are pleased with. Tenacity in this activity certainly pays off some great dividends. Thnx again sir.
