Like Richard said, the patterns are beautiful, as are the colors. Very nice.

Thank you. The colors were intentionally over saturated in post production, but otherwise aren't manipulated.

Looks more oily than water colours! But beautiful - mesmerizing.

This was simply a shot of surface ripples on a lake that I then over saturated. Green was reflected trees, blue was sky.

Thanks for the explanation, my first thought was some oil on top of the water as well. Was it raining as well? Looks like raindrops hitting the water.
