Green Dragonfly

About two years ago, my wife and I drove to New Orleans. While touring the swamps where Lafitte used to hang out, I asked her not to step on any dragonflies - which was the only reason she called this guy to my attention.

Nice shot. He certainly is green! I find the variety of colours (even among dragonflies in the same location) quite fascinating because their colours are so intense.

Thank you for commenting.

Yes, I find the green ones to be particularly intense and attractive, which is why I am so pleased with this photo {if only I had use a smaller aperture to get the tail in focus}.

Thank you to all of you.

Yes, of all the colors of dragonfly I have seen, this green one is especially special.

Thank you for your comment.

When I looked through my earlier photos, I found one of a green one - which surprised me, because I thought I would have remembered such a remarkable sight.
