They say it's grand

There's a place where I live that they call Grandview Drive. The view is truly grand, but I missed all of the true colors when you over look the river. There are still a few beautiful trees hanging onto their color which I tried to catch today ...



To me the pic catches the beauty of fall, but the oncoming death for them of winter.

Yes, these are nice shots. But the images, especially the second one, look overprocessed to me. I also like soft true colors and do not see any need to enhance them. But each to his own. I do like the tapestry of the second image.

Thanks. The real view looked very similar to this tho I did pop up the colors a bit because the shot I took didn't do the real view justice.

Hmmmm, where in Illinois is this? I am in St. Louis, wondering if it is within easy driving range..... Great shots by the way !!!

Thanks! They were taken in Peoria on Grandview Drive. Probably about a 3 hour drive. Better hurry as the colors are fading fast. I bet the drive up would give you some great shots tho.

Ahhh, I was thinking it was in southern Il. i had no idea, there were hills in Peoria, lol ( then again, I've never been to Peoria )
