Off the Beaten Path
Lens: DA 16-85 Camera: K-3II Photo Location: Blueridge Parkway ISO: 100 Aperture: F8

Finally managed a week out of the house on the Blueridge and in the Smoky Mountains. It really felt good even though there was lots of rain and foggy weather (all making for some interesting photography.)

This is a very nice forest image. I like how the tiny creek draws the eye back to the brighter lit patch in the background.

I must agree with the others. This is truly a marvelous "In Nature" photograph. Well done and many thanks for posting.

It takes a good eye to find a way to display the 'clutter' of a busy forest in such a beautiful way.

Our southeastern forests are very messy in the best of times making it hard, for me at least, to find an image I like. I find myself concentrating on smaller bits. Thank you for the very nice comment.

It wasn't Florida for sure. The Blueridge Parkway in North Carolina.

There is a touch of fantasy and a suggestion of a hidden magical world in this image. The spooky root system of the large tree, the little stream, and the density of the foliage all evoke the sense of a barely hidden world below the surface of what is seen. Marvelous image!!
