Ok, I will take a shot at it. All their beak reflections hit the edge of the lilly pad.

Great images Marc. You are the bird man!

The only thing I see that may be somewhat unusual, and probably not planned, is in the second image. On the extreme right I see you captured a large dragonfly in flight.

I saw that as well but it seemed to obvious. Did you see the reflection of the dragonfly as well?

Jimbo: that was not my original observation, and you caught another similarity - therefore I will honor both of your guesses...

EDIT: removed part of post, since subsequent post was completely correct...

Actually that was my original intent - the reflection of the dragonfly in the water below and the dragonfly itself... Gary got the whole picture...

Marc... The first shot should be in a magazine and the other three need to be on my wall! I have to say I didn't see the butterfly.. Nice call Gary... I thought we were looking for something silimar in all of them. That's why I picked the lilly pad thing... Cheers Marc...

Well, Gary is the person getting all of the aspects right, although I am not sure if he was lead down that path by the others' posts before him....

Gary, it's your call: do what you will - you hold Jimbo and J. Scott hostage until you make a decision on whether or not those "leads" made it too easy for you to be the winner...

Nothing like a little suspense with the "judge Gary" making a decision.

You're not getting out of it that easily Marc. I can honestly say that I did spot it, I can't say whether I spotted it first and that I had spotted it without the other guys clues.
However, the other two guys did post before me. It's you're competition and it's up to you to decide how flexible you want to be in you're decision making. I'm happy to abide by whatever decision you do make. So, I'm afraid it's back to you Judge Marc.

The results are in...

Alright then, I knew Gary was going to bail on me... what a wasted previous post...

Here's the final results... drum roll please:

3rd place for thinking outside the box: Jimbo
2nd place for spotting part, but not all: J. Scott
1st place for putting the clues together: Damn Brit

For Jimbo and J. Scott: prizes for second and third will be some run-off (extras) from the TX ranch order. Therefore Jimbo and J. Scott will receive an 8x10 also, but I get to choose the final picture....
Here's the one request: I would like a small amount of input from both of you on which sort of image you would like me to send, ie. macro, landscape, mammals, birds, etc. Just a general categorization - that does not mean you'll get your choice, it will be to assist me a little bit.

Gary: unfortunately you don't get off that easy - I am not referring to just this post... You have to decide what image I've posted here at any time or anything viewable on my website. Please let me know!

Regards,
Marc
