New York a little different (C&C welcome)
Posted By: bdery, 11-08-2008, 07:20 AM

Second trip to New York city in a few months, I decided to concentrate on photographingthings a little differently than usual. Some shots are still fairly "obvious" but some aren't, I think. Critique welcomed!

I like them all and they really show how beautiful and diverse this city really is. Hard to pick a favourite as they are all very good.

thank you, both. New York really is a unique city, there is so much to do and see! I would have a hard time picking a favourite, too, that's why I posed so many!

Great series. Like the cityscapes, the church and fall colours. Hope you have to go back to NY again soon, so we get another series of images.

Great variety! It felt like a guided tour of the city. Certainly gives a positive taste for potential visitors.

Thanks for all the good words! Dazman, there is actually another series dating from June in my gallery, which you can see in my signature. More traditionnal, but if you want to see more NY, you could look there. I'm not planning to return soon Sadly, twice in one year is already a good score!

Great series. I like the first one, as I don't recall many photo's looking down. I also like the church pews and the overhead of the cathedral. The blue stained glass really makes it stand out.

Thanks. I actually find my second series much more creative, but there are shots I'm quite satisfied with on both series.

7.62lew, I agree that the blue colours brings something to the picture of the cathedral's ceiling. The pews just begged for this kind of composition, I felt. Glad you like them.
