Holding back the Mist
Lens: DA 16-85mm Camera: K-3II Photo Location: Smoky Mountains ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 2s Aperture: F11

I think your choice of shutter speed was right on.

I think "evocative" fits the nature of the wonderful photo, Susan. A scene that's both misty and a bit mystical.

Thanks all. This particular area has always been difficult for me to grab a photo of but the morning mist just made it so much easier. The shots from there are my favorite so far. We have another week here and are hoping for more fog and mist.

Beautifully constructed landscape photography. I must admit that I love the results generated by the Pentax gear you used. I now have a Pentax k-3ii body right at the top of my XMAS List.

Susan, this ono needs to be printed large and hung on a wall, it's a wonderful image.

Very atmospheric - love the patterns of the mossy roots in the foreground. Definitely a wall-hanger!
