Hi Heinrich,

Beautiful creatures in a beautiful context, very well shot by your KP, but the credit goes to the photographer.

Ciao Mario

We have hooded mergansers in a local park but the other birds are only seen as transients and beavers are not here at all . As always your photos are splendid .

Thank you, almost all of our Ducks migrate, I got those images just before they will take off. The Muskrats will of course stay.

That hoodie is just lovely Heinrich. As always, a great series. The last muskrat image is a delight.

Thank you Susan, that Muskrat posed for about 3 seconds before it took a dive and was gone.

Great shots, Heinrich! Interesting that the Widgeon in your photo looks in some ways a bit more like the Japanese Falcated Duck than the Japanese Widgeon.

Hi Jer and thank you. That Muskrat was just swimming by when I took a burst of shots, he heard the shutter, stopped, looked up at me for about 3 seconds, dove down and was gone.

A wonderful little collection of water birds! And, - er, yes, wonderful shots of a muskrat!
Loved how you caught the water droplets as the Yellowlegs brought it head up out of the water. The head-on shot of the muskrat (again, great with the water droplets!!) is gorgeous. It almost seems to be saying "Hey, who the hell are you?"
Beautiful images.
