Two from Loch Lomond, in Scotland
Lens: Hasselblad XCD 21mm Camera: Hasselblad X1D II ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/6s Aperture: F11

Loch Lomond is a beautiful loch, and I love to stop there on my way from Glasgow to Glencoe & the Isle of Skye, when I have a chance. Here two sunsets on the Loch, taken two years apart. First, a 2020 image, 3/5 of a second taken with my Hasselblad X1D II, Hasselblad XCD 21mm and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters:

Followed by a older image, this time a 1/5 second photograph taken with my (then) Leica SL, Leica Vario-Elmarit-SL and Formatt-Hitech Firecrest Ultra filters:

I particularly like the first one. I think I would have tried placing the tree farther to the right, including more of that dramatic orange sky, but that's just my two cents.

Lovely images of my childhood playground! I have paddled, swum, sailed, rowed and walked (it froze completely in 1963) on Loch Lomond. We scattered my mother's ashes in it. I learned to hill walk on the hills around the Loch. The song rightly calls it the Bonny, Bonny Banks of Loch Lomond.

Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed the pics! Thank you for sharing your memories of Loch Lomond, for me it is an amazing destination and one I consider myself lucky to be able to see every year (often more than once) thanks to my Workshops.

Two years apart and very similar lighting. Makes a lovely set. I especially like the energy in the first one. Feels like the water is ready to break over my shoes. Thanks for sharing.

Both nice, but the second one really appeals to me. The calm scene with a hint of perhaps a storm lurking, the lighting and reflection....all great.

They are both gorgeous, I like the position of the tree against the hills. Would love to go there someday.
