This is a fun still life shot, something a hardware junkie like me can appreciate. 3/8-16? 1/2-13?

Always hate when I have parts left over from building something... usually means I missed a step in the instructions!

Nice composition and textures.
Thanks for sharing.

They're 1/2-13 structural bolts. These are interesting, oversized heads on them, 7/8" instead of 3/4". I took this for our photo club, the weekly challenge was "6".

Clever photo - terrific idea! This shot is driving me . . . . . nuts . . . . . in a good way.

Thanks! A few bolts got lost / misused and the building supplier was stingy, so I had to buy some extras.

You need a clever caption for this shot - something like "half a thirteen is better than none".

Not really, you have just confirmed Rapp’s law of inanimate reproduction
“If you take something apart and put it together often enough, eventually you will have two of them

For the OP it is an interesting shot.

Have you looked at a B&W conversion? It might be interesting

Thanks! I did try it in B&W. I do a lot of B&W, trying to lean more to colour as of late. I think there's some fun details in the colour too.

Nice composition. I like this image 'stacking'.
