Stars in the Firelight
Lens: Tokina MF 28mm F2.8 Camera: Pentax K-7 Photo Location: Pennsylvania ISO: 3200 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F16

Took this one at the same party as my last firelight portrait. For this one I aimed it up at the sky and I like how the tree turned out with the lighting from the fire next to me combined with the clear night sky and several stars.

While I know the K-7 isn't the strongest in low-light, it's not terrible either. And it's leaps and bounds better than any P&S I've ever used. I'm excited to see how the K-5 iis (looks like tracking is showing it arriving sooner and getting here on Tuesday now) will handle shots like these.
