Nice image and it is certainly very ancient. But it looks like someone may have wired a door knob!

Well composed and the lighting really helps show the age of the wiring.

!thank you. you're right about the lighting, shadow length is important when taking pictures of infrastructure, and tremendously important if it's old and decaying. sometimes i go three or more times to same locations just to get it right, but this was only the second attempt. sunny time here is not very common daily feature unfortunately.
