Hi folks.Time to get away from the depressing news on TV on many fronts and do something positive on this gorgeous 70 deg. day just North of Boston. The black capped chickadees were waiting for me to refill the feeder but when I held my hand out they were eager to eat.Nature is beautiful.--charliezap.

Hi Charlie,

The news is really depressing. The good news is seeing real life images, I like the sequence and your self-denial.

Were you shooting with the other hand? Given the weight of the K5-IIs and Sigma 10-20, you sure have a steady hand! Great shots of pristine life!

There is bleakness but natural beauty and hope is the trump card.--no pun intended.--charliezap.

Clever way to do things. Any thought on using a remote shutter release?
Great set of shots

A wonderful selection of shots, I love the fourth one with the body in crisp focus and the wings a blur of feathers.

I would normally say that a bird in your hand is going to crap on your wrist, but not this time.

Thanks all. I can't wait until the feeder runs dry so that I can try it again.--charliezap.

It's very rare for that kind of bird to be close like that. It took almost a month for my parrot to come close
