Mike - I couldn't (and still can't) see any "weird spot" in the right upper corner. More to the point, whatever you did to try to get rid of this "weird spot" has taken the edge of the sharpness of the original pic, and, in my opinion, done something to the colours.

I think your original pic was good, the colours had punch, edges were clear and sharp, the image as a whole was appealing, and had impact. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"!

The spot/blob didn’t seem like a big deal. When I went back , the original images all had that spot, I merely grabbed the next bracket, did almost the exact same pp. It’s all in the image, so take your choice, I even did another, you’ll need to flicker for it.

I think the best way would be leaving the pp as it is and try to replace just the harsh transition by a graduaded one.
