Nice shot! But googling "small brown bird red breast red cap usa" got me some close likenesses, but no definite ID.

Maybe an immature Vermillion Flycatcher?

PS Some birds have "eclipse" plumage. Male Fairy-wrens in Australia look like females in the winter. This bird could be transitioning from breeding plumage to eclipse plumage if it isn't a young bird going from immature to adult plumage.
