Did it take several tries to get the sky and the town? Very cool photo.Duh, I then read that it was two photos. Still a cool photo.

Love this shot. Looks amazing. Love how lit up the buildings are combined with how great the sky turned out. Assuming 2 fairly different locations as it looks too nice to be in the same area with all the light pollution from the town. Or maybe it's not as bright as it seems as it was a long exposure shot.

I took both pictures from the same location. 30sec + f5.6 + ISO100 for the town and 5sec + f2 + ISO800 for the sky.
There was actually a great amount of light pollution from the town, but with a little pp work I was able to get rid of it.

I love how this is both warm and cool at the same time. Beautiful scene, well captured!

It took me about 15 attempts to get a good version of the town (or more specific the cars driving there).
The sky only took 5 attempts to get a good image (I had to block the light from the town with my hand, because the hood of the Samyang 35mm lens is for a full frame sensor and the town was nearly the same direction as the night sky)
