Roses in the Rain
Lens: PENTAX-DA 50-200mm F4-5.6 ED Camera: Pentax K-7 Photo Location: Pennsylvania ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F5.6

Not as sharp on the roses as I'd like, but I still like the photo regardless. (The thorns are too sharp though. Thankfully I've trimmed back the long dead stems that would catch me as I'd try and cut the grass...)

Why didn't you send them to me? I will have to buy them for a birthday of my wife.

It is very well done. I also like the results I get with my K-7 and the many Pentax lenses that I use.

Haha, I've never done much with them other than to re-route them so they weren't sticking out into the yard to snag me as I cut grass.

Thank you! Most of the blooms currently come up through one of my azalea bushes. I don't really spend the time to really take care of the garden. My saving grace is that my grandparents built the house back around 1971 and did take care of the plants so that they've still managed to survive since I started living here about 5 or so years ago. Though, these would probably only have been planted in the mid-80s at the earliest when they built the deck.

Thank you! I thought it turned out very well until I started looking more closely at it with it blown up rather large on my screen and noticed it wasn't as sharp as I thought originally. But I do still find it a pleasing photo. Hopefully I'll get better and be able to get it a bit sharper while still maintaining the feel.

I'm definitely still learning and am having fun along the way. And feeling a bit of pride that I'm able to get some good shots here and there.
