Terrific photo! The sky and the clouds really complement the water. The castle is light with a lovely colour making it a very successful photo!

Lovely, Vieri.

My personal preference is usually for a faster shutter speed, but, as I say, it is personal.
I still love to see others' interpretations of a subject, even if it is not what I would have usually done.

Thank you very much Rod, glad you enjoyed it! About shutter speed, I have no "general" or "personal" preferences, I tend to use whatever shutter speed I feel renders a scene as I want to interpret it... in this case, 6 seconds worked well for me, to keep shape in the clouds and textures in the water while transforming some of the white foam in lines that helped my composition to look like I wanted it to look, guiding the eye around the frame. As you said, it is great that we all have different ways to do things, and create different interpretations of one same scene at any given time, were we both there to photograph it together. That's what makes photography such an amazing artistic pursuit!

Best regards,

Vieri

There’s nothing I’d change in this shot. Everything is well thought out and balanced. Well done.

Wonderful image, the colours are fantastic and the shapes of the clouds are almost mirrored by the shape of the foam in the sea. Well done
